How to Downgrade MCPE on iOS Devices.
This is slightly illegal, like the APK method on Android devices, but your device will be fine.
- iPhone/iPad with latest OS ideally
- Windows Computer with Windows 7+
- OR Mac Computer with
macOS 10.12+
- Access to a non-child Apple Account
Pick a Minecraft file version and download on your computer:
To be able to interact with iOS devices, you need to install and open iTunes if you are using a Windows Computer.
If you have the Microsoft Store version, uninstall it and use the links below instead.
This requires an Admin Password. (64 Bit Recommended)
The next step uses a neat program called Sideloadly to transfer the file to the iOS device.
The download links are below (FYI: Download it on your PC, not your iPad):
First, make sure you've downloaded and opened iTunes if you're on Windows. Then:
- Get a USB cable (Part of the iOS charger cable)
- Open and unlock the mobile device
- Plug the cable into both
devices
- The iPad/iPhone should ask to "Trust Computer", click
"Trust"
- Open Sideloadly
- The "iDevices" area should have
your device ID
- Click on the "IPA" icon on the left and input the
Minecraft file
- Type in the non-child account's Apple ID or Email
- Open "Advanced Settings"
- Uncheck "Automatic Bundle ID" and
change it to "com.$$$.$$$", replacing the "$$$"s with whatever you want
- You can change the app name and "version" if you want, but they
don't do anything.
- Download, keep the iPad/iPhone unlocked on the
home screen, and wait around 5 minutes.
Once the app is on your iOS device, it won't open because it's untrusted.
To fix, go to Settings > General > Device Management, then click on the Apple ID or Email you used and press "Trust".
The app should now open.
You have to reinstall after a week, as the app becomes "No Longer Available".
Minecraft's Xbox sign-in feature doesn't work. But it's not really needed anyway.
